The middle school attached to Nanchang University Honggutan Branch, a key middle school in Jiangxi province, is situated by the beautiful Ganjiang River in Honggutan district of Nanchang city, It was newly built in 2014 covering an area of about 40 acres with complete facilities, elegant environment, powerful lineup of teachers, advanced concept, and quality leadership. At present, the school contains a total enrollment of over 1800 students from Grade 7 to Grade 9 and provides many kinds of after-class clubs. For students, It is a hall where students can study happily, develop comprehensively and grow healthily.

 

With the development of economic globalization, education internationalization has become an important feature and inevitable trend. Therefore, under the leadership of our headmaster, the school has opened up a new chapter of international communication over the last four years--the exchange between our school in Nanchang China and Kaitao Middle School in Rotorua New Zealand. The details are as follows:

On the basis of the international exchange experience of the head school, Principle Rory O 'rourke from New Zealand Kaitao Middle School and Laytee paid a visit to our branch school in April 2016 , which was obtained highly approvals and appreciation.

 

On April 8, 2016, our school officially signed the cooperation agreement with New Zealand Kaitao Middle School--- forming a sister school, which symbolizes that our school is the first and meanwhile the only middle school that has established long-term cooperative relations with foreign schools in Honggutan New District. The important leaders from the Education Center Honggutan New District and some leaders like Priciple Xiaojie Cheng, Director of the International Department Hongwen Zong from the Middle School Attached to Nanchang University have attended and witnessed the important moment.

 

 

According to the agreement, the two schools will send representatives of teachers and students to exchange visits each year. With the support of the school leaders and the adequate preparation of the relative department, our school opened up the first visit to New Zealand between August 10 and August 24 in 2016. 11 students representatives from different grades have the honor to take part in this wonderful learning journey, along with two English teachers Jinfeng Wei and Lu Xiong. During the stay in New Zealand and in particular Roturua, our teachers and students have lived with local New Zealand families and have experienced the the first hand customs and culture. A good deal of their time have been spent experiencing the education system in New Zealand as they became part of the Kaitao Middle School. Meanwhile, by visiting Auckland and Rotorua, they have also experienced the unforgettable scenery and charming exotic landscape.

 

 

The representative teachers and students have returned from a rewarding journey and gained a lot from this intercultural exchange trip.

 

After this exchange , many delegations from Germany, France and other foreign countries have paid visits to our school in 2015, 2016, 2017. Meanwhile, we showed them our traditional culture: facial makeup, Guzheng, tea art and Chinese food:-dumplings, which has achieved great social response.

 

All these communication provides opportunities for our teachers and students to experience educational and living habits in other countries, to broaden their international vision, to promote the communication between different cultures and to cultivate their ability to live, communicate and solve problems independently, which has achieved a great success and will have a far-reaching effect on the future development of our international exchange with other foreign countries.
